Dear L33ts checkout this amazing new article from our l33t author “Thom Hastings” . If you have an Android Tablet and always wanted to install backtrack on it then this post is definitely for you. Enjoy.

Have you ever wanted to try BackTrack on your ARM Android device? By following these easy steps, you can run BackTrack with a full GUI (tested on Asus EEE Pad Transformer).

Part One: Rooting your Device

Use some Googling and find a tutorial for rooting your device.

http://eeepadhacks.net/transformer-hacks/how-to-root-eeepad-transformer-honeycomb-3-2/ (for example EEE Pad Transformer)

Part Two: Installing BackTrack 5 for ARM

Use the following tutorial (the example used is Motorola Xoom, but it worked on my EEE Pad Transformer too!)

http://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache:vuHrl24k_pwJ:www.secmaniac.com/may-2011/backtrack-5-on-motorola-xoom-in-10-minutes-or-less/+&cd=1&hl=en&ct=clnk&gl=us

David Kennedy (rel1k) re-did his web page recently and so you have to view the tutorial through Google’s cache.

In conclusion, it’s fairly easy to obtain and install BackTrack for ARM on an Android device. Post in the comments your successes or failures with your Android device!

Attached is a picture of my end result after running an msfupdate.
